Citrine Warbler

The Citrine Warbler, or Myiothlypis luteoviridis, is a species of New World warbler native to the humid montane forests of the northern Andes. Its classification is rooted in the extensive ornithological surveys of the 19th and early 20th centuries, which sought to document the high-altitude biodiversity of Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. The bird's name reflects its distinct olive-green and yellow plumage, a hallmark of its adaptation to the mossy, shadowed undergrowth of its cloud forest habitat.
