Curlew Sandpiper

The Curlew Sandpiper, Calidris ferruginea, is a migratory shorebird that breeds primarily in the high Arctic tundra of Siberia. Its migration patterns are some of the most extensive in the avian world, as these birds travel vast distances from their northern breeding grounds to wintering sites across Africa, South Asia, and Australia.
