Nicobar Sparrowhawk

The Nicobar sparrowhawk, Tachyspiza butleri, is an endemic bird of prey found exclusively on the Nicobar Islands in the Indian Ocean. It was formally described by ornithologist G.H.P. Buller in the late 19th century, reflecting a period of intense European exploration into the biodiversity of the Bay of Bengal.
