Red-eyed Bulbul

The Red-eyed Bulbul (Pycnonotus brunneus) is a passerine bird native to the forests of the Thai-Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, and Borneo. Its classification dates back to the mid-19th century, serving as a primary subject for ornithologists mapping the biodiversity of Southeast Asia's lowland dipterocarp forests. Like other members of the Pycnonotidae family, its physical characteristics, particularly its rounded wings and tail, are evolutionary adaptations for short-burst flights within dense, leafy canopy environments.
