Rufous-naped Greenlet

The Rufous-naped Greenlet, scientifically classified as Pachysylvia semibrunnea, is a small passerine bird native to the humid forests and foothills of the northern Andes. It belongs to the Vireonidae family, a group characterized by their arboreal nature and preference for dense canopy vegetation. Ornithologically, the species is distinguished by its unique coloration—notably the russet-brown crown that gives the bird its common name—and its distinctive morphology, which includes notably rounded wings and a subtly notched tail.
