Slender-billed Finch

The Slender-billed Finch, known scientifically as Xenospingus concolor, is a unique avian species native to the arid coastal regions and river valleys of Peru and northern Chile. It was formally described in the mid-19th century, a period when naturalists were heavily cataloging the distinct, often isolated biodiversity found within the unique ecosystems of the South American Pacific coast.
