Slender-billed Parakeet

The Slender-billed Parakeet, scientifically classified as Enicognathus leptorhynchus, is a species endemic to the temperate forests of central and southern Chile. Its evolution is characterized by a specialized bill morphology, featuring a notably elongated upper mandible adapted for foraging on roots, bulbs, and seeds in subterranean environments.
