South African Shelduck

The South African Shelduck, known scientifically as Tadorna cana, is an endemic waterfowl species native to the southern regions of Africa. Evoluntionary biology identifies this species as a member of the Tadorninae subfamily, characterized by a distinct broad wing shape and a rounded tail that assist in its specific flight patterns and maneuverability within its wetland habitats.
