Water Pipit

The Water Pipit, Anthus spinoletta, is a passerine bird belonging to the Motacillidae family. Historically classified as a widespread species across the Palearctic, its current taxonomic standing was solidified following the recognition of distinct subspecies that were eventually elevated to full species status, such as the Rock Pipit and the Buff-bellied Pipit.
