Dialogi s Evgeniem I͡Asinym

Published in 2014 by Novoe literaturnoe obozrenie, Dialogi s Evgeniem I͡Asinym is a biographical work by journalist Andrei Kolesnikov. The book serves as a transcript of lengthy conversations between the author and Yevgeny Yasin, a prominent economist and influential figure who served as the Minister of Economy of the Russian Federation during the 1990s. The work was conceived as a retrospective on Russia’s economic transition, framed through Yasin’s personal experiences and professional observations during the country's turbulent post-Soviet reform era.

The design and editorial direction follow the signature academic and intellectual aesthetic of the Novoe literaturnoe obozrenie publishing house, which focuses on high-quality humanities and biographical scholarship. Kolesnikov, known for his long-form reportage and political analysis, aimed to provide a candid narrative that captured Yasin's philosophy regarding institutional development and market liberalisation. Upon its release, the book was received by academic circles and political observers as a critical primary resource for understanding the intellectual history behind the 1990s Russian economic reforms.
