Journals of Major Robert Rogers [microform] : Containing an Account of the Several Excursions He Made under the Generals Who Commanded upon the Continent of North America, During the Late War

Originally published in London in 1765, the Journals of Major Robert Rogers provide a firsthand account of the military excursions led by the famous ranger during the French and Indian War. Rogers was a central figure in colonial frontier warfare, and these writings were intended to document his tactical methods and the strategic challenges faced by British forces in North America. The text remains a primary source for historians studying the development of unconventional warfare and the complex relationships between colonial militias and indigenous populations during the mid-eighteenth century.

The 2021 edition produced by Creative Media Partners is a modern microform and digital-reprint effort aimed at preserving out-of-print historical texts for academic accessibility. By leveraging historical archives, these publishers seek to keep primary source literature available to researchers and enthusiasts. As a retrospective collection piece, this volume serves as a faithful reproduction of the original narrative, reflecting the editorial standards of the 18th-century publication while ensuring the survival of Rogers's detailed accounts for future generations.
