Jamie Rivera

Released in 1990 by OctoArts International, this self-titled album marked the professional emergence of Jamie Rivera into the Philippine music scene. Emerging during a period where local pop ballads were gaining significant traction, the record served as an introduction for Rivera, who had previously been known for her live performances and television appearances. It was designed to showcase her vocal range and ability to interpret emotive, melody-driven compositions that were characteristic of the era's OPM (Original Pilipino Music) style.

The album was produced with a focus on polished studio arrangements typical of early 1990s Southeast Asian pop production. The aesthetic and musical direction were aimed at establishing Rivera as a viable solo artist capable of radio-friendly appeal. While it preceded her later widespread recognition as a premier inspirational and pop singer, this debut provided the foundational platform for her to refine her sound and establish the professional relationships within the recording industry that would define her long career.
