Absolute Batman #22

Absolute Batman #22 was published in 2005 as part of the broader Absolute Batman run, a series characterized by its high-quality, oversized hardcover format. This line was conceived by DC Comics to showcase iconic story arcs with premium production values, featuring thicker archival-quality paper, slipcases, and restored artwork. The intention was to provide a definitive, shelf-worthy presentation for readers who appreciated the intersection of prestige bookmaking and classic graphic storytelling.

The issue exists within the continuity established during the mid-2000s era of the character, often highlighting the creative contributions of legendary writers and artists who defined the mythos during that period. These editions were designed to be tactile experiences, prioritizing durability and aesthetic gravity. Reception among collectors has remained consistently strong, as the series is widely regarded as the gold standard for collected editions of the character's modern history.
