Agatha Christie Classics #5

Agatha Christie Classics #5 was published as part of a recurring series dedicated to adapting the prolific British novelist's mystery works into a graphic narrative format. These adaptations sought to translate the intricate plots and atmospheric settings of Christie's original novels—such as those featuring Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple—into a medium that prioritized visual storytelling and sequential pacing for a new generation of readers.

The creative direction for this series relied on illustrative styles characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century mystery comics, aiming to evoke the suspenseful, Golden Age aesthetic associated with Christie’s writing. While the scripts were tasked with the difficult job of condensing dense, character-driven whodunits into limited page counts, the series was largely received by fans and collectors as a sentimental homage to the Queen of Crime, maintaining a consistent, accessible style throughout the run.
