Amazing High Adventure #5

Amazing High Adventure was a short-lived anthology series published by Marvel Comics in the mid-1980s, designed to capture the spirit of classic adventure pulp magazines. The series sought to diversify Marvel's output beyond traditional caped superhero narratives by focusing on serialized tales of exploration, historical drama, and high-stakes action, often leaning into the pulp tropes popularized in the early twentieth century.

The creative direction for this series relied on a mix of established veterans and rising talent within the industry. Issue number 5 features work consistent with the series' attempt to modernize the adventure format for a comic book audience. While the title did not achieve lasting commercial success, it remains a notable example of Marvel's mid-1980s experimentation with genre anthology formats and pulp aesthetics.
