Auf der Suche nach dem Vogel der Zeit #12

Auf der Suche nach dem Vogel der Zeit, known in English as The Quest for the Time Bird, was originally created by writer Serge Le Tendre and artist Régis Loisel in the early 1980s. This landmark French fantasy series is celebrated for its intricate world-building, blending elements of sword and sorcery with a unique, mythic atmosphere that redefined the European comic book landscape. The narrative centers on a quest to save the world of Akbar from a brewing dark force, relying on a deeply established lore that has expanded significantly through various prequel and side-story cycles over the decades.

Issue #12, titled 'L'Emprise', belongs to the second cycle of the series, continuing the legacy established by Loisel's iconic visual style. While the original team set the aesthetic benchmark for the franchise, later volumes were crafted to maintain the series' high standard of atmospheric storytelling and character-driven fantasy. As part of a long-running saga, these later issues have been received by a dedicated fanbase as essential components in the ongoing effort to flesh out the complex histories of the series' secondary characters and the mystical origins of Akbar.
