Back to the Future: Forward to the Future #3

The Back to the Future: Forward to the Future comic book series was published by Harvey Comics in 1992 as a direct continuation of the narrative established in the film trilogy. Released during a period when the franchise was seeking to expand its footprint in animation and print media, this series aimed to capture the essence of the time-traveling adventures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown for a younger audience, serving as an expansion of the Saturday morning cartoon mythology.

The series featured work by artists and writers tasked with maintaining the likenesses and chemistry of the cinematic characters within a serialized format. While the stories were intended to offer fans more of the same high-concept humor and science fiction stakes, the run is often categorized as a niche piece of 1990s licensed media. Its design and visual tone rely on the stylistic sensibilities of early nineties comic book art, aiming for accessibility rather than the more gritty or complex narratives seen in contemporary adult-oriented titles.
