Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood #6

Released in the year 2000, Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood serves as the final installment of a six-part limited series written by Greg Rucka with atmospheric interior art by Rick Burchett. The story explores the traumatic origins of Helena Bertinelli, the Huntress, as she seeks to clear her name following a series of murders framed against her. Rucka sought to ground the character in a gritty, noir-inspired narrative that highlights the psychological friction between her lethal methodology and Batman's moral code.

Rick Burchett’s clean, kinetic linework provides a sharp contrast to the brutal subject matter, helping to solidify this series as a definitive character study within the DC Universe of the early 2000s. The issue was received as a strong conclusion to a series praised for its emotional depth and exploration of the vigilante psyche, often cited by fans as essential reading for understanding the Huntress's evolution from a vengeance-driven outsider into a more complex, nuanced anti-hero.
