Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu: Love-Comedy ga Hajimaranai #1

Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu: Love-Comedy ga Hajimaranai serves as an official spin-off collection to Norio Sakurai’s popular manga series, The Dangers in My Heart. This specific volume was released to expand upon the series' established tone, focusing on the internal monologues and situational humor that define the awkward, evolving relationship between Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada. The material maintains the visual style Sakurai is known for, emphasizing nuanced character expressions and a shift between dark, introspective humor and earnest romantic development.

The spin-off was produced to capitalize on the critical acclaim and growing reader base of the original series, which garnered significant attention for its subversive take on the adolescent romantic comedy genre. Sakurai’s design approach balances minimalist backgrounds with highly detailed character work to highlight the central pair's intimacy. Since its debut, the project has been received as a complementary companion piece, praised for maintaining the emotional sincerity and comedic timing that made the parent series a staple of modern seinen manga.
