Daffy Duck #120

Daffy Duck #120 was published by Gold Key Comics in 1974, emerging during a period when the publisher held the license to translate classic Warner Bros. Looney Tunes characters into the comic book medium. This issue represents a mid-run entry in a series that aimed to adapt the manic, slapstick energy of theatrical animation into episodic printed stories, catering primarily to a younger audience during the post-Golden Age of comics.

The interior art and narratives for this era of Gold Key's Daffy Duck series were frequently collaborative efforts produced by Western Publishing's house style, rather than being authored by a singular famous creator. These stories generally focused on placing the titular character in humorous, low-stakes scenarios, maintaining the continuity of his well-established personality—greedy, temperamental, and perpetually frustrated—to ensure the title remained a recognizable piece of the broader Looney Tunes merchandising landscape.
