Daredevil #62

Published in March 1970, Daredevil #62 arrived during a transitional era for the character under Marvel Comics. The issue features a script by Roy Thomas and artwork by Gene Colan, who had become synonymous with the title's atmospheric, noir-inspired aesthetic. This period focused on evolving the protagonist beyond his initial swashbuckling roots, leaning further into the grittier, urban sensibilities that would eventually define the hero's long-term identity.

The cover art, executed by Gene Colan and inker Sam Grainger, captures the dynamic tension typical of the late Silver Age. The story continues the series' exploration of Daredevil's struggle to balance his legal career with his vigilantism. At the time of its release, the title was competing in a crowded marketplace of superhero fiction, relying on complex character dynamics and stylistic visual storytelling to distinguish itself from more traditional action-oriented comics.
