Dark Horse Comics #22

Dark Horse Comics #22 was released in 1994 as part of the publisher's eponymous anthology series, which served as a showcase for various creative talents and experimental storytelling formats. During the 1990s, Dark Horse utilized this series to bridge the gap between licensed properties and creator-owned works, providing a platform for both established industry veterans and emerging writers and artists to push the boundaries of the medium.

The issue features diverse content emblematic of the era's independent comic movement, often prioritizing distinct visual styles and genre-bending narratives. As with many anthology issues from this period, the design was intended to offer a rotating roster of stories, appealing to readers who enjoyed the unpredictable nature of serialized, multi-genre collections. It remains a snapshot of the mid-90s editorial philosophy at Dark Horse, which focused on high-quality printing standards and diverse aesthetic approaches.
