De Neige et d'Encre #1

De Neige et d'Encre is a French-language comics anthology series that emerged from the independent publishing scene, aiming to highlight atmospheric storytelling and thematic cohesion through a blend of illustration and prose. The first issue was conceived as a platform for emerging creators to explore the intersection of nature, melancholia, and intricate visual design, moving away from traditional superhero tropes to focus on mood and artistic experimentation.

The design of the inaugural issue favors a minimalist, high-quality print aesthetic that highlights the tactile experience of reading. By curating a selection of artists and writers dedicated to these evocative motifs, the editorial team sought to build a boutique publication that appeals to collectors of art-house graphic literature. Upon its release, it was received as a contemplative entry into the European independent press, noted specifically for its deliberate pacing and high-production paper stock.
