Dead Mount Death Play Side Story: Phantom Solitaire's Art of Disguising Oneself as a Supernatural Being is a spin-off manga series that expands upon the universe created by Ryohgo Narita and Shinta Fujimoto. This series focuses specifically on the character Phantom Solitaire, an enigmatic figure within the broader Dead Mount Death Play narrative. The second volume continues the exploration of this character's complex motivations and the dark, urban fantasy setting that defines the franchise, maintaining the signature blend of mystery and supernatural action established in the primary series.

The art style is crafted to complement the gritty, fast-paced tone of the original work, emphasizing character depth and intricate magical combat sequences. As an extension of a successful manga franchise, this side story was developed to provide fans with greater context regarding secondary characters who influence the central plot. It has been well-regarded by readers of the main series for its ability to maintain thematic consistency while offering a distinct perspective on the supernatural conflicts unfolding within the narrative world.
