Dekiru Neko ha Kyou mo Yuuutsu #13

Dekiru Neko ha Kyou mo Yuuutsu, or The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, began as a web manga series created by Hitsuji Yamada. The narrative centers on Saku, a quintessential corporate worker struggling with her personal life, and Yukichi, an oversized, house-trained cat who acts as her highly competent domestic caretaker. This thirteenth volume continues the lighthearted, slice-of-life exploration of their unusual domestic dynamic, emphasizing themes of burnout, self-care, and the comforting absurdity of their living arrangement.

The series gained significant traction for its endearing character designs and the satisfying contrast between Saku's chaotic professional life and Yukichi's meticulous, almost professional-grade housekeeping. Yamada’s art style, which balances expressive humor with cozy domestic scenes, resonated with readers looking for low-stakes, humorous escapism. The manga has been well-received for its gentle subversion of standard domestic tropes and its wholesome focus on the bond between a human and their pet, eventually inspiring a well-regarded television anime adaptation.
