Dragon Head Omnibus #1

Dragon Head was originally serialized in Japan between 1994 and 2000, written and illustrated by Minetaro Mochizuki. The narrative emerged during a period of heightened interest in disaster-themed manga, focusing on a group of high school students trapped in a dark, collapsing tunnel following a catastrophic seismic event. It is widely regarded as a seminal work in the survival horror genre for its claustrophobic atmosphere and psychological depth.

The omnibus edition was produced to collect the multi-volume series into a more accessible format for an international audience, often featuring updated translation and print quality to highlight Mochizuki's gritty, detailed ink work. The design focuses on conveying the tension and isolation of the characters, stripping away typical shonen tropes to present a raw, grounded exploration of human instinct in the face of societal collapse.
