El Zorro y el Pequeño Tanuki #1

El Zorro y el Pequeño Tanuki, known originally as Kitsune to Tanuki, is a manga series created by the artist Mi Tagawa. The story follows a stern, solitary fox spirit who is tasked with mentoring a mischievous, orphaned tanuki cub, blending themes of folklore and emotional growth. It first appeared in serialized form in Japan, eventually being translated and published in Spanish-language markets to reach a broader international audience, maintaining the charm of the original Japanese release.

The visual style is defined by Tagawa’s expressive character designs and soft, pastoral backgrounds that emphasize the connection between the spirits and the natural world. The series was well-received for its gentle narrative pacing and the endearing chemistry between the two protagonists, establishing it as a notable entry in the fantasy-slice-of-life genre. The first volume serves as an introduction to the duo’s evolving bond and the mythological world they inhabit.
