FemForce #75

FemForce number 75, published in 1996 by AC Comics, represents a significant milestone in the long-running series created by Bill Black. The title was conceived as a tribute to the Golden Age of comics, specifically the 'good girl art' style popularized in the 1940s and 1950s. By the time this issue was released, FemForce had established itself as a unique staple in independent publishing, consistently focusing on a team of powerful female superheroes operating within a retro-futuristic Cold War setting.

The issue features the distinct illustrative style championed by AC Comics, which sought to maintain a bridge between classic pulp aesthetics and contemporary superhero storytelling. Bill Black, serving as both publisher and primary creative force, utilized these issues to explore character-driven narratives while adhering to the established team dynamics that defined the franchise. Though niche, the publication is historically noted for its persistence in the independent market, maintaining a dedicated following that appreciated the deliberate embrace of traditional comic art conventions.
