Fury of Firestorm Annual #3

Fury of Firestorm Annual #3 was published in 1986 as part of the DC Comics event series that utilized the annual format to expand upon the ongoing narratives of their major titles. This particular issue follows the established tone of the series, which centered on the nuclear-powered hero Firestorm as he navigated both complex global political themes and high-stakes superhero conflicts during a period of transition in the comic industry.

The creative direction for this era of the character often emphasized the dual nature of Ronnie Raymond and Professor Martin Stein, who merged to form the hero. The design and narrative structure of the annual reflected the classic bronze-to-modern age aesthetic, featuring dynamic, bold illustrations intended to capture the kinetic energy of Firestorm’s powers while grounding the story in the dense, interconnected continuity of the DC Universe during the mid-eighties.
