Futoku no Guild #18

Futoku no Guild, authored and illustrated by Taichi Kawazoe, began its serialization in Monthly Shonen Gangan in 2017. The series is a fantasy-comedy centered on Kikuru Madan, a highly skilled monster hunter who seeks to retire but finds himself perpetually assigned to guide incompetent rookie guild members. Issue 18 serves as a continuation of this narrative, maintaining the series' signature blend of slapstick humor, ecchi tropes, and traditional fantasy adventuring.

The aesthetic of the series, particularly as seen in the later volumes like issue 18, reflects the modern seinen manga approach to character design, focusing on highly detailed, expressive figures in dynamic combat scenarios. Kawazoe’s work is noted for its comedic timing and character chemistry, which helped the series garner enough popularity to receive an anime adaptation in 2022. The publication of volume 18 highlights the sustained interest in the guild's ongoing misadventures within the readership of Square Enix's publications.
