Gachikoi Nenchakujū: Net Haishinsha no Kanojo ni Naritakute #12

Gachikoi Nenchakujū: Net Haishinsha no Kanojo ni Naritakute, authored by Seira Minase, began serialization in 2020 on the manga platform Comic Zenon. The series explores the psychological complexities of the modern streamer-fan dynamic, specifically focusing on the obsessive tendencies and 'gachikoi' culture—a term referring to fans who fall in love with streamers in a parasocial capacity. The narrative is structured as an anthology of sorts, delving into the perspectives of different fans and the unintended consequences of their devotion to various internet personalities.

The character design and visual tone are crafted to contrast the polished, colorful aesthetic of live streaming with the darker, more grounded reality of the fans' private lives. The twelfth volume continues the series' exploration of this social phenomenon, building on the acclaim it received for its unflinching portrayal of digital obsession. It was received as a significant entry in the psychological thriller genre, noted for its relevance in an era defined by parasocial relationships and the blurred lines between online and offline identity.
