Game of Familia - Êtes-Vous Prêt à Tout Sacrifier? #5

Game of Familia, also known by its original Japanese title Familiya Senki, is a dark fantasy seinen manga series written by Yamaguchi Mikoto and illustrated by D.P. The series launched in 2019, emerging from a genre trend of subverting portal fantasy tropes by introducing extreme, visceral psychological conflict and moral ambiguity. The narrative centers on a protagonist who finds himself transported to a fantasy world alongside his entire family, only to face harrowing challenges that force him to make ruthless decisions for their collective survival.

The art style of the series, handled by D.P., is noted for its sharp character designs and contrasting tone between traditional fantasy aesthetic tropes and the grim, often graphic violence central to the plot. Issue #5 continues the established thematic trajectory of the series, focusing on the escalating stakes of the protagonist's journey and his internal deterioration as he grapples with the sacrifices demanded of him. The work has been received as a polarizing entry in the genre, recognized primarily by enthusiasts of seinen manga who prefer mature, transgressive storytelling.
