Gøg og Gokke #197122

The Gøg og Gokke comic series, featuring the iconic duo Laurel and Hardy, was a long-running publication in Denmark that brought the classic slapstick humor of the American film legends to the printed page. Issue 197122 belongs to the series' extensive run during the 1970s, a period when the characters remained cultural staples in Scandinavia, often finding a younger audience through these brightly illustrated stories that captured the duo's distinct physical comedy.

The production of these comics was managed by local publishing houses that adapted the film personas into episodic narrative formats. While specific artist credits for each individual issue were often house-stylized, the visual design consistently leaned into the caricature-heavy aesthetic popular in European humor comics of the era. The series was well-received by generations of readers who grew up with the films, serving as a nostalgic touchpoint that reinforced the enduring cross-generational appeal of the Laurel and Hardy brand.
