Gøg og Gokke #197502

Gøg og Gokke, the Danish localized title for the legendary comedy duo Laurel and Hardy, was published as a comic book series in Denmark during the mid-1970s. This specific issue, numbered 197502, represents a period when the slapstick antics of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy were being successfully adapted into comic form to reach a new generation of European readers who were familiar with their films through television broadcasts.

The comic featured a variety of short, self-contained strips that mimicked the timing and misunderstandings characteristic of the duo's cinematic work. While the specific illustrators were often uncredited house artists working under European publishing syndicates, the design relied heavily on the recognizable character silhouettes and classic bowler-hat aesthetic. It was received as a nostalgic, lighthearted piece of pop culture entertainment, primarily aimed at younger audiences who enjoyed the physical comedy that remained consistent across languages.
