Gøg og Gokke #197610

The Gøg og Gokke comic series, featuring the iconic duo Laurel and Hardy, was a long-running staple of the Danish comic market. This specific issue, 197610, was published in October 1976 as part of a recurring monthly series that brought classic film comedy into the medium of illustrated stories. The publication sought to capitalize on the enduring popularity of the comedic pair, adapting their slapstick humor and physical gags into a format accessible to younger readers and nostalgic fans alike during the mid-1970s.

The visual style of the series generally relied on the distinct physical characteristics of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, rendered in a bright, mid-century comic book aesthetic. By the time this issue was produced, the series had established a consistent routine of humorous vignettes. While the specific creative teams for individual issues often went uncredited in the publication itself, the series as a whole served as a vital part of Scandinavian pop culture, documenting how international cinematic icons were integrated into the local comic book landscape of the era.
