Hallo Kurt! #1

Hallo Kurt! originated as a German-language comic series created by the cartoonist Hannes Hegen, centered on the adventures of a whimsical, anthropomorphic character named Kurt. First appearing in the mid-20th century, the series emerged during a period of burgeoning interest in regional comic storytelling, aiming to provide accessible, lighthearted entertainment for younger readers through serialized visual narratives.

The design of the series relied on Hegen's characteristic clean-line illustrative style, which emphasized clear character expressions and minimalist background details to maintain focus on the episodic humor. While the series did not reach the global ubiquity of some contemporary international titles, it remains a recognized example of the post-war German comic landscape, valued by historians of the medium for its distinct approach to pacing and character-driven storytelling.
