Harley Quinn Rebirth #9

Harley Quinn #9, released in early 2017 as part of the DC Rebirth initiative, continues the long-running series written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. This era of the character leaned heavily into the satirical, self-aware, and chaotic tone that the creative team established upon the character's Rebirth relaunch, distancing her from the darker, more villainous roots of her inception while maintaining her signature unpredictability.

The issue features cover art by Amanda Conner, whose distinct, expressive style was instrumental in defining Harley Quinn’s modern visual identity. The narrative work within this series was generally well-received by fans for its focus on Harley’s eccentric supporting cast and Coney Island setting, which successfully transitioned the character into a standalone anti-hero figure capable of sustaining a long-term monthly publication.
