Hero Alliance #11

Hero Alliance #11 was published by Innovation Comics in 1990 as part of a creator-owned superhero series that emerged during the independent comic boom of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The series was created and primarily written by writer and editor Randall Scott Napier, providing a platform for various artists to explore a diverse team of superheroes that operated in a more grounded, often satirical take on the traditional cape-and-cowl archetype common in the mainstream industry at the time.

The visual direction of the series was defined by a rotating roster of illustrators who leaned into the gritty, dynamic aesthetic popularized by the era. Issue #11 fits into the ongoing narrative arc of the Hero Alliance team, which often focused on the sociopolitical implications of superhuman existence. While the series did not reach the cultural ubiquity of contemporary Marvel or DC titles, it remains a notable example of the experimental spirit that characterized independent comic publishing before the market crash of the mid-1990s.
