Hi ni Nagarete Hashi ni Iku #12

Hi ni Nagarete Hashi ni Iku, serialized in Kodansha's Morning magazine, represents a significant work by manga artist Tetsuya Tsutsui. The series explores themes of societal friction, technology, and isolation within a contemporary Japanese setting, utilizing a narrative style that blends mystery with social commentary. As the twelfth installment in the series, this issue serves as a critical junction in the unfolding plot, building upon the established atmosphere of suspense that characterizes Tsutsui’s broader body of work.

The visual identity of this issue reflects Tsutsui's deliberate, minimalist approach to paneling and character design. His work is frequently noted for its cinematic pacing and the detailed, grounded rendering of urban environments, which serves to heighten the sense of unease inherent in his storytelling. Upon its publication, the series was well-regarded for its departure from traditional genre tropes, earning a reputation among readers for being an intellectually stimulating piece of seinen manga.
