Ichiokunen Button wo Renda Shita Ore wa, Kizuitara Saikyō ni Natteita: Rakudai Kenshi no Gakuin Musō #2

Ichiokunen Button wo Renda Shita Ore wa, Kizuitara Saikyō ni Natteita: Rakudai Kenshi no Gakuin Musō, often referred to as Ichioku-nen Button, originated as a serialized web novel on the platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Following its digital success, the series was acquired for print publication by Kadokawa Shoten under their Sneaker Bunko imprint. The narrative follows the protagonist Allen, who gains unfathomable power through a repetitive, long-term training mechanic, embodying the popular power-fantasy tropes prevalent in contemporary Japanese light novel culture.

The second volume of the light novel series continues the established progression, further developing Allen's role within his academy setting. The series features illustrations by the artist Fal Maro, whose character designs contribute to the franchise's visual identity. The adaptation was well-received among readers of the genre, maintaining its popularity as a definitive example of the 'overpowered protagonist' subgenre, eventually leading to a manga adaptation that expanded the reach of the series to a wider audience.
