Ijūin Tsukimaru no Zannen na Reinō Kagyō #6

Ijūin Tsukimaru no Zannen na Reinō Kagyō is a manga series authored by Tōru Seino, known for his eccentric and often humorous take on the occult and supernatural. The series chronicles the daily life and work of the titular character, Tsukimaru, a man whose spiritual abilities are portrayed as decidedly unimpressive or underwhelming. This sixth volume continues the established tone of the series, which blends slice-of-life storytelling with Seino’s signature dry wit and unconventional approach to horror-comedy tropes.

The design and visual style of the volume adhere to Seino’s distinct aesthetic, which leans toward informal, sketch-like character work that highlights the mundane nature of his characters’ struggles. Within the context of the series, this entry serves as a continuation of the narrative development for Tsukimaru’s lackluster career in exorcism. The work is largely appreciated by readers for its rejection of traditional shonen or supernatural cliches, opting instead to focus on the humor found in human incompetence and the absurdity of spiritual phenomena.
