I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History: It Seems Turning into a High-Born Baddie Makes the Prince All the More Lovestruck #3

The third volume of the manga adaptation of 'I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History' continues the story of Alicia Williams, a young woman reincarnated as a fictional antagonist who strives to become the most wicked villainess in history, inadvertently winning the affection of the prince she is meant to antagonize. The series originated as a popular light novel written by Izumi Okido and illustrated by J C, later adapted into a manga serial with art by Akari Hoshi. Published by B's-LOG COMICS, this title is a staple of the 'reincarnated villainess' subgenre of shōjo and josei fantasy, which has seen a significant surge in popularity within the Japanese publishing market over the last decade.

The visual design of the series leans into the aesthetic tropes of the villainess archetype, emphasizing elegant period-inspired attire and expressive character work that balances comedic timing with romantic tension. Akari Hoshi’s adaptation aims to capture the protagonist's internal struggle between her goal of becoming a historical figure of infamy and her naturally heroic inclinations. Since its serialization, the manga has been well-regarded by fans of the light novel source material for its faithful adaptation of the comedic misunderstandings that define the narrative, contributing to the series' expansion into various formats, including an anime production.
