Isekai Bishōjo Juniku Ojisan to #17

Isekai Bishōjo Juniku Ojisan to, often abbreviated as Fabiniku, began serialization in 2019 on the Cycomi platform by the creator duo known as Chibimaru. The series emerged during the height of the isekai genre's saturation in Japanese media, purposefully utilizing its tropes to explore themes of gender identity and friendship through a comedic, body-swapping lens. The narrative follows two middle-aged businessmen who are transported to a fantasy world, where one is transformed into a beautiful young woman, forcing them to navigate their long-standing dynamic under entirely new physical and social pressures.

The character design and visual direction are credited to the manga duo, who utilize a polished, expressive shonen-style aesthetic that balances slapstick humor with subtle emotional beats. The series was well-received for its subversion of traditional gender roles and its departure from typical fantasy power fantasies, eventually earning an anime adaptation in 2022. Issue 17 continues the serialization's established tone, reflecting the ongoing refinement of the authors' character-driven storytelling as the protagonists deal with the absurdities of their journey.
