Where it came from
Jaa, Kimi no Kawari ni Korosō ka? - Prequel 【Zenjitsutan】 is a manga series derived from the dark psychological thriller Jaa, Kimi no Kawari ni Korosō ka? (So, Shall I Kill for You?). This prequel project was designed to explore the foundational motivations and backstories of the characters before the events of the main narrative, providing readers with deeper psychological context regarding the central themes of obsession and agency.
The series is illustrated with a sharp, evocative style typical of modern seinen psychological thrillers, focusing on unsettling character expressions and tension-filled layouts. By stripping away the immediate chaos of the primary series, the prequel issues aim to ground the characters in their original, formative environments, allowing for a more nuanced reception among fans who seek to understand the catalyst for the violent developments found in the main storyline.
