Where it came from
The prequel series Jaa, Kimi no Kawari ni Korosō ka? - Prequel 【Zenjitsutan】 serves as a narrative expansion of the original manga series created by author Miso Ume and illustrator Hiroki Haruse. Published as part of a serialized digital or print run, this specific installment continues the psychological exploration established in the franchise, focusing on the dark themes and complex interpersonal dynamics that define the main series' premise.
The design of the series leans into the aesthetic traditions of seinen psychological thrillers, emphasizing expressive character work and stark paneling to heighten the suspense.
