Justice League Adventures #24

Justice League Adventures #24 was published in 2003 as part of a tie-in comic book series based on the popular DC Animated Universe television show, Justice League. Created during a period when DC sought to expand the reach of their animated programming into print, these stories were designed to capture the accessible, heroic tone of the Bruce Timm-led production. The series maintained continuity with the show, providing fans with additional narratives that explored the dynamics of the team outside of the standard televised arcs.

The creative team for this issue featured writer Stuart Moore and artist Val Semeiks, who aimed to mirror the distinct aesthetic of the animated series while utilizing the broader creative potential of the comic book medium. The issue, which focuses on a Justice League mission involving the villainous Brainiac, was received as a straightforward, character-driven story. It reflects the broader DC strategy of the early 2000s to leverage successful television animation into a consistent and recognizable comic book brand.
