Justice League America #100

Justice League America #100 was published in June 1995 as a milestone issue during the mid-nineties era of the DC Universe. This period was marked by significant shifts in the team's roster and tone, following the more grounded, industrial aesthetic of the 'Justice League International' years. The issue served as a moment of reflection and celebration for the series, attempting to bridge the gap between the legacy of the Justice League's history and the gritty, high-stakes storytelling trends common in the mid-nineties comics market.

The issue was written by Dan Vado and featured art by Mike Parobeck, an artist highly regarded by fans for his clean, classic style and expressive character work. The creative team aimed to balance an celebratory tone suitable for a centennial issue with the ongoing plot threads of the JLA's then-current incarnation. Upon release, the issue was received as a nostalgic waypoint, noteworthy for Parobeck's distinct visual approach, which provided a traditional superhero aesthetic that contrasted with some of the more experimental visual styles prevalent in the industry at the time.
