Kagura ga Yuku! #1

Kagura ga Yuku! is a manga series created by the artist Koji Seo, first serialized in the late 1990s. The work emerged during a period of significant growth for domestic shonen comedy manga, aiming to blend slapstick humor with the lighthearted dynamics of a school setting. As one of Seo’s earlier professional projects, the series serves as a foundational example of the character-driven storytelling and stylistic sensibilities that would define his later, more widely recognized works.

The design of the inaugural volume reflects the standard aesthetic of late-90s manga tankobon, emphasizing expressive, high-energy character illustrations that mirror the comedic tone of the narrative. Upon its release, the series was received as a straightforward, energetic addition to the genre, appreciated by readers for its accessibility and the earnest development of its lead character. It remains a notable entry for collectors interested in the evolution of Koji Seo’s artistic voice.
