Klaus #4

Released in 2016 as part of a seven-issue limited series published by BOOM! Studios, Klaus reimagines the origin story of Santa Claus through a dark, high-fantasy lens. Written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Dan Mora, the series moves away from traditional holiday tropes to depict Klaus as a solitary, physically capable wanderer fighting against a totalitarian regime in the snowy town of Grimsvig. The project was designed to reclaim the character's folklore roots while blending superhero genre tropes with European winter mythology.
