Kōkyū Chahiden: Chōhi wa Ai Yori Cha ga Hoshii #9

Kōkyū Chahiden: Chōhi wa Ai Yori Cha ga Hoshii is a light novel series written by Ringo Hoshino and illustrated by Kikka Ichijō, published under the Kadokawa Beans Bunko imprint. Emerging during the mid-2010s, the series capitalizes on the enduring popularity of 'isekai' narratives set in fictionalized versions of imperial China. The story follows a protagonist who finds herself in a royal palace, where her passion for tea-making becomes a central element of her survival and social advancement.

The character designs by Kikka Ichijō follow the established visual language of the shōjo and josei light novel genres, utilizing vibrant, delicate linework to emphasize the opulent atmosphere of the palace setting. By the ninth volume, the series had firmly established its niche appeal among readers who enjoy a blend of romantic subplots and culinary-themed fantasy. The work is generally regarded as a light, comfort-driven read, receiving steady support from fans of historical-fantasy tropes and character-driven drama.
